Dr. Katie Gunter was born and raised in West Palm Beach, FL.
After graduating from Suncoast Community High School. she attended Yale
University in
New Haven, CTwhere she earned a B.A. in Psychology. Upon graduation,
Dr.Gunter attended medical school at the University of Florida
College of Medicine in Gainesville
, FL and then moved to
Birmingham to complete her training at The
Children's Hospital
of Alabama .
During her residency training, she was awarded the Argus Society Award
for Best Resident, an award honoring teaching
excellence. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, and
traveling.
